Hi, I’m Archie — the founder of Bit By Bit.
Like a lot of people my age, I don’t yet have a mortgage. I’m not even renting right now. But what I realised early on is that waiting until the day you apply for a mortgage is too late to start thinking about your credit score.
When I first looked at mine, it wasn’t where I wanted it to be. That single number was quietly controlling whether I’d get approved for a mortgage, what interest rate I’d pay, and ultimately how much my future home would cost me every single month.
So I made it my mission to learn everything I could about how credit works. Bit by bit, I built better habits, fixed the things dragging my score down, and unlocked opportunities that had once felt out of reach. In February, I reached a 999 Experian score — the highest you can get.
Now, through Bit By Bit, I share what I’ve learned with others who want to get ahead of the game.
My mission is simple: to help 18–25 year olds boost their credit score and finally get the keys to their first home.
